By: Bronwen Mills12th Oct 2021 5:05PMMy Great grandfather (Havill) who married my great grandmother Annie Kennedy owned the Kaniere Forks Hotel after her father passed away. Annie had 3 children that I know of, Ruby, Ruth and Fred jnr. Their daughter Ruby married our grandfather Charles Mills who had come over from the east coast. They lived up Bouchers Gully after they married,for some time and had 3 children: Mavis, Charles and Gordon and one son Robert who only survived 2 weeks of life. Our dad Charlie tells of how he was born on the track coming out of Bouchers Gully on their way down to the Forks. I have some photo's of the Forks Hotel. Will try to find them and up load them
