The Brick House where I started my first job. Last window on left at bottom was where I was. Loved that job - Railways. Ministry of Works was upstairs.

You must have been near the phone exchange room then Yvonne ,I’m trying to remember

Janice Oconnor teleprinter, typist room Janice. Exchange was next door then main office. Second window from end was transport office. I was where Denise was. Took over from her.

My mum June Grieve worked on the first floor for the MOW drawing plans and her calligraphy was unbelievable. Her view would have looked over the railway station.

Mum use to clean the top floor fisheries offices if i remember the bottom florr was railways control rooms

Still a beautiful old building - we used the Gestetner down there and was always covered in ink must have been only one for whole of Railways in Greymouth

Yvonne Lawson Don't remember Kathleen working there but she may have. Only job I remember her doing in Grey was at Hay's (I think) then she went nursing in Hokitika (my memory is deteriorating a bit now though). She is in Picton now.

My foster Dad was the Station master his office was in that building when it was belonging to the railways. He had a massive desk. Alan Hunt.

In the mid to late nineties, worked upstairs for The Korowai Aroha o Mawhera with Homebuilders next door. Bottom floor was the Greymouth Youth Centre.

Good to see an old building kept in Greymouth, not many survive, ashamed the old Royal just up the road, soon to be demolished
