About this location
DescriptionRapahoe, 10 minutes north of Greymouth, is a small settlement overlooking a beautiful beach.
Rapahoe borders native forest, limestone cliffs, caves and underground streams of Paparoa National Park, and the Point Elizabeth Walkway gives access to the headland, from where seals and Hector’s dolphins can often be seen. If walking the beach, keep an eye out for greenstone, and watch for the seal colony on the rocks at the far end of the beach.
