William Albert Whitehead Used to meet a lot of thes in early days driving bus tours into Haast, mostly Luugate Transport with logs, up to 80 feet in length. Their drivers were very courteous and I could see them coming with dust and parked up waiting for them.

Pete Lusk Yes, Matthew, half of NZ looked like this early in the century, devastation everywhere to build mines and clear the bush for farming - and the river was the rubbish dump.
