David Patrick Stuart and John Chapman were proprietors of Seddon's Terrace Sawmill at Rimu established in 1899 and the Waitaha Bluff sawmill at Ross, established in 1903. They owned a bush tramway which ran south of Ross for 20 kilometres to Lake Ianthe area. The Davidson locomotive was built by G & D Davidson & Co, Hokitika.Map^[1]ContributorHeather Newby
