Les Holmes Germanicus This one took much research to get the details of the locomotives right, to purist proof as much as I could. I took photos of the perspective of the station from the Warehouse carpark. All the figures were randomly painted to help with the composition.

Timo Costelloe My grandfather Paddy Costelloe was engineer on the Royal Train for the Midland Line for this trip. There is a family story about it and photos of him including one my Dad was excited to find in a NZ railway book he bought years later.

I were at Stillwater station when train came through 2nd line over. I had little union jack flag waving, she on back of carriage waving the now famous wave. The empire tour and she worked nonstop away from Charles and Anne for months. What a toiler for the empire. Hard to imagine that duty.
