My dad worked at the dredge about 1944 and we lived in choose across the road from the hotel I was about 4 years old

Right where my family lived for 13 years….my father used to grade these gravel roads to keep the potholes out and to give the road users a reasonable ride. I used to go crayfishing with my father on the rocks shown in the picture,gathered mussels and caught some awesome sized schnapper from that beach. Our family trapped and shot hundreds of possums from the bush there and sold the skins. We also had a large glasshouse in which we planted 800 tomato plants a year….they were sold at the roadside. Awesome memories from my childhood there.
