Lyn Moe Doug Stewart was a nice guy thats him on the right,this photo is before my time at Strongman but he was still there when I worked there in later yrs. A member of the Brewery Stewarts he kept private mine horses there over the xmas break.

Florence Gunn Great photo of Doug. Knew him well, he was related to Thelma O'Neill, Ivy McPhee and Arthur Stewart. Don't think he was a Brother of the above! Doug married Joyce? from Owen River.
Maybe Arthur's family can fill the gaps. Johnny McPhee was our neighbour all those years ago, such a great man to us.

Douglas Lineham My late Father, Doug Lineham, whilst a young man and living in the Buller district at Karamea, won a car raffle. I think the vehicle was a Morris 8. One day when driving over the Karamea Bluff road to Westport he hit a Matai tree and wrote the car off. At the end of his life he wanted his ashes scattered over the summit of the Karamea Bluff, so his brother (Cyril) placed them around the tree his car perished against. If my memory serves me correctly the tickets were 5 shillings each.Alan Stewart
