Description1940 International K3R. New to the New Zealand Army, this was converted into an ambulance for St John in 1945 and based at Runanga. It served for 32 years including attending the Strongman Mine disaster. Sandra Hosgood I worked at stjohn and had this for my wedding car in 2011. My dad was delighted as he had accompanied a miner injured at rewanui then had to drive it to greymouth hospital so the ambo officer could give cpr enroute. Got some fab photos!

Bruce Keddie I helped overhaul it while I was a West Coast Motors. I think it was not long after the Strongman Mine Disaster. I still have some parts off it in a box somewhere.
