Bev Huston I THOUGHT that was my Aunty "Floss"! Flo Gilmore (nee Vincent - 1909 - 1978) on the left; Anne Hutchison is my cousin, in Hokitika- Have been watching this site with interest- but had to make comment on this as we (Martin family) have only a few photos of Mum's siblings.

Neil Martin's photo.
Ron Boddy the older lady is Aunty Anne Graham who live next to my wife grandmother
Jo Pearce Actually now a days the Birchfield's own a fair chunk of Ross, all ready for mining when the price of gold is right. Ray Manera, Jim and Elsie's son owns the store. Jim, I think still lives at home but Elsie is in a home in Hokitika.
Jo Pearce Ron Boddy would your wife be related to Herriott's as I think Mrs Grahame was between Herriott's and my folks.
Ron Boddy no her Granmother lived next door to Annie Graham on Moorehouse street but the Herriotts live on the next farm to them at Harihari Syd and Phylis Herroitts she thinks there was one boy and three girls Beth is one of their names. Anne grandmother was Rose Donaldson and is relation to Jane Birchfield. She said that the eldest was Shirley Herroitts I hope that helps you
Geoffrey Bell The women in the photo are as follows. Left to Right: Annie Christina Rochford (Nee Wright) (AKA Auntie Teen), Alice Josephine Rodewall (Nee Wright) (AKA Auntie Al), Unknown.
This photograph was taken at Ross by Brian Brake, one of New Zealand’s most renowned photographers. Are they related to you Samarra Hutchison Wright?
Geoffrey Bell Lol. This is a classic photo. It leaves itself wide open to captions. Any I have thought of so far could have me hung, drawn and quartered Margaret Elaine Sadler. Still thinking.
Samarra Wright Nope im not . Initally someone thought it was my great grandmother Floss Gilmore
Geoffrey Bell "You Don't Say! Does Wearing Gloves Really Keep Away The Sandflys?" Pukekura humour.
Heather Newby They will be talking about the girl up the road who got married in a white wedding dress when it really should have been red,, because she was a tart
Alec Birch Hee hee very subtle Heather Newby, her at left has just imparted your juicy piece of gossip, her at right is gasping in disbelief, and her in the back is chipping in with her own piece of irrefutable evidence.
