CommentsZody Neil William Everyone at Dunganville actually lived at Clifton, above the eight mile creek. Eventually the post office was moved to a new site near where Mr Dungan moved to (Maori creek) thus it needed a name, so it was decided to name the new post office Dunganville. Clifton was then sluiced of the face of the earth. Only a few graves remain as piles of heaped stones in the forest. A goldmine in the immediate vicinity is endagering the graves, as they are not registered and have no protection.
