Bill Johnsen yes ,,from what been told they moved away to Wellington after the fire and they had a son there... son did a history trip back to coast and I located him at Pat Taylor's book shop...Pat was the Press man for the coast and am surprised stories about Pat have not surfaced on here ..be some laughs regarding Pat...but took Reg Watchman to met mum and they had a good time about the past...both in late eighties he had his whole family history and I have copies he sent.. ..this about 15years ago..Peter Robertson

Tony Ring Is Pat Taylor still alive. Had some great times with him in the 70s. A wealth of local history Plus he could tell a good story.

Arthur Bass I used to like at Court when Pat shot around to Kings at lunchtime. I used to take the refills out of his biros and turn them around then watch him try to write when Court resumed. Laurie Anisy would know about Pat. They both barracked for the same league team.

Neil Martin I was on a jury once and noticed that Pat didn't do much writing just scribbling the odd note. I commented to someone about this and the reason given was that he didn't need to as it would all be written out in the Grey star that night and he could get it from there. ready for that nights printing of the ChCh Press.

Bill Johnsen Pat has a plaque marking "his" corner at Kings. Pat would type up his Press report with the Grey Star propped up on his typewriter. He was a brilliant wordsman and great sense of humour.
