Some of the signatures are hard to read. I get annoyed when the NZ Home Guard gets disrespected (and compared to Dad's Army.) People have forgotten that NZ was in danger of being invaded for much of WW2. Across NZ home guard units were formed and they were ready to defend us.

My grandfather was in the Home Guard in Greymouth.

My Dad and Granddad where in the Westport Home Guard. My Dad was shot in the arm during one of their trainings in the Army Drill Hall. All hushed up. Years later the R.S.A were looking for members and my father told them you did nothing for me when I got shot so why should I support you now.
