DescriptionNewmans started a regular service from Foxhill, Nelson to Westport in 1879 by stagecoach. In 1920 they replaced the coaches with service cars and the Berlins Hotel was a refreshment stop used by the stage coaches and then the service cars.

Had links with both of them Newman's whom eldest brother drove for and Berlins as a popular spot during our early years.

A lot of early service cars were Cadillacs.

I was dragged up in Foxhill I went to the Foxhill School. Never ever did I see a fox. Though I did date a couple in later n years.
