All the Grey Hairdressers used to have an annual evening in Harkers Tearooms.
Haircuttings in 1937 cost 1/6.
In 1938, 8 dozen sandwiches at 1 shilling a dozen.
Geoffrey Bell.." Yuill Bell, on the left, was my father's cousin. He was born in 1910 so would have been aged 14 years when this photo was taken. He went on to be a hairdresser all his life. He moved to Christchurch after some years and became a well known Christchurch Hairdresser with premises in High Street's White Hart Arcade."
