The structure there now is the bridge built in 1931. We of the Friends of Fox River & Bridge Soc. Inc. are going to fundraise to replace the Southern span by way of a swingbridge or a replica span so the residents and all the tourists visiting the area have a safe pedestrian walkway across the river instead of having to use the dangerous main road highway bridge. It'll be handy to have it in time for the great Coastal Road Opening Centennial in 2029.

Does anyone know when it was buillt and how long it was there for? Did the old wooden bridge (now closed off) replace this swing bridge?
