Was there during the first 1962(?) one. Lot of brick chimneys, poles and other damage. Grocery shops were a mess.

My mother was up in Denniston 1929, & when we had the big quake in Ch,Ch all my mother could say was I don't like earthquake's when we lived in Denniston we had a big earthquake .
