The artistic talent continues through Grandad Rhodes family dad (Jim, Dusty's son) at 92 is painting beautiful artwork, then his son Jamie (my bro) produces beautiful award winning artwork in his workplace.

At Paringa in South Westland in Audrey and Jack Condon’s house in the lounge is /was a mural done by Dusty many years ago maybe in the 1960’s their children might remember , John, Bernadette(Larry) and Cindy. The house is still there but I don’t know if the mural has survived

Have wonderful childhood memories of Dusty….I used to watch him paint at his easel when he stayed at the batch (owned by Roy n May Bright) next to my parents home in Barrytown…..was magical….got a bee sting in my foot and Dusty wet the old blue bag and put it on to soothe after he’d pulled the sting out. Can remember him wearing a cardigan with pockets on and a red felt beret….I can recall him wearing bow ties too….
