Theresa Gibson I believed this to be just north of Tiroroa, the settlement you can see on the point.
George Gardner There must have been something like this further down stream located close to Hawk's Crag, where Robert Taylor crawled out of the railway tunnel after an explosion had killed his 3 workmates (my granduncle was one) and had to cross the river to their camp to seek help. This happened in August 1930 whilst the railway was being built.

Ruth Naylor There where 5 suspension bridges Tiroroa, Hawk's Crag Tunnel Camp Burley's Hill, Inangahua Camp. along with cable ways and ferries.

Ruth Naylor The Camp ,There was a small station there, also the first school for the area which is to the right of the photo, Recollect have photos of the school, Buller was quite a big camp as it was the begining of that end of the Buller Gorge railway line, Paper past has a lot about the building of this line, the accidents etc strikes, it was quite an interesting project idid a few years ago and to date I have filles three scrapbooks of write ups and photos.
