Years ago now, coal was shipped out from there, brought over by a flume ( remnants still there ) carried by water. The dust, dregs and water flowed freely straight into the sea. Many environmentalists would have you believe that there wouldn't be anything left to survive after that. I guess they've got it wrong this time. Again.

That reminds me of my dad. My Dad his friend and my 2 boys were down Jackson Bay walking along the rocks at the beach. They walked past this sea lion then he decided to chase them. They all got away before the sea lion gave up.

Gavin Davy you are looking at the entrance to them that big rock propt up against the main.is island covers 3 entrances one of the caves goes right out to the front

Thanks Bruce, we were always diving at the other end of the island so never explored that end. Must have a look at some stage.
