DescriptionSeddonville School was moved from Coal Creek, renovated and enlarged to accommodate 120 children.
Mr T. Ladner was assistant and Mr S. Street was the Headmaster.
In 1941 the senior students under Mr R. Harden attended school in the Masonic Hall and the junior pupils under Miss D. Pratt attended school in the Presbyterian Church Hall, while the old school was pulled down and the present school building was erected. This was opened by the Hon W. E. McIntyre on the 21st February 1942.
The school was supported by parents and became the centerpoint of the village. it was well known for its showdays, and end of year concerts which involved both young and old, present and past pupils.
It was with regret the school closed at the end of the first term of 1981, and the pupils transferred to Granity School.
