Have a question: where exactly was the Europa Depot. I think Premier Garage sold Europa, that was Deys in later years, where EV Arthurs ended up then Smiths City from Memory

Geoffrey King , I recall the depot was near the railway station over the stunning railway lines. I remember seeing The Green Bently parked outside the depot.

PaulAnthony Teens yes, and cars, larger boats - in those days I think the price was the same every where, from memory I think was about 40 odd cents a gallon which was about the same as a jug of beer? Bob Uddstrom who made Calypso Skis' in Greymouth would come down twice a week when they were at their batch (which was on the old mans farm along with a dozen others) with about 8 of the old kerosene tins for use on his boat.
