DescriptionOkari is halfway between Westport and Charleston. It was once the site of a flaxmill. It was powered by a 28ft diameter waterwheel- 5ft wide. About a mile of water-race was put in to feed the waterwheel. On the right of the photo is an old Greek known as Bebil, he ran a half way house at Okari 1866. Photo by courtesy John Dickson.
