Alan Johnson Yes you are correct, I passed it many times when going from Haast to Fox to collect Laundry for the Haast Hotel. It was my "counting point", only another few miles 9minutes to go"

Peter Grayhi Peter, great photo and looks the same to me. Loved that area and the people whom lived there. NZ had not long introduced daylight saving and one morning while clearing out a creek bed Ivor Scott rode up to me and asked "do you have the time Kev" yes and shouted back to him going on 3. "Is that the proper time or the new fangled cranky time" was hilarious at the time, then he tilted his hat over his eyes and looked at the sun. With a nod he rode away followed by his dogs.

Kevin O'Regan Hi Kev, the Condons down Condons road also had a similar type of shed. On a trip buying skin we called there and Greame my helper was in the top of the shed throwing down sheep skins that had been accumulated over the years. He had thrown down about 20 skins and then I heard yelling and swearing, no more skins but a pissed off Greame.
He found a bumble bees nest amongst the skins
