Great pub. We spent the first night of our honeymoon there in 1961. Forbes Pammet was the Proprietor and had a party waiting for us! Lovely roast dinner the next day which cost 10/- for Bed, Breakfast and Dinner.

Marjorie I was 13 years old and the trainers wife had promised Mum she would look after me and sent me to my room at 7pm. I promptly climbed out the window and down the fire escape to join the other apprentices at the local milk bar. So funny when she was spotted coming down the street looking for me and I was hiding under the table in one of those booths they had in those days. And she never paid me for riding their horses work.
