DescriptionSimon Kink writes: Just returned home from a 13-day trip up and down the Coast following family history, Hokitika to Karamea and everywhere in-between. Absolutely loved it, what a wonderful part of the country, but boy, our ancestors put in the hard yards didn't they?

A special shout out to Peter Lawn at Blacks Point Museum for blowing our minds on the amazing stuff on display and for blowing us away on the stuff he dug out in regard to my own family connections to Blacks Point. My great-great grandparents got married there (Havelock Dowsing and Bessie Tonkin) and Peter even showed us where they lived! Definitely coming back.Map^[1]ContributorSimon King
