I went there from 1970 to 1973, it was called Greymouth Technical High School then.

Allister Leach - No that is incorrect Allister. It had dropped the "Technical" Term when I joined in 1961. We still used the old verbal term "going to Tech". But for all intents and purpose it was just a school boy "slang" we had all got used to using !!!
The real story is this ...
"While the school was established under its original name in 1923, the rebranding coincided with the early 1960s to reflect changes in the curriculum."
