Gavin Martin Remember that as a kid, pub across the road on the corner, and the White Heron Restaurant on the other.

Trevor Keith Scott Dad & I built the Post Office at Whataroa in the 60's, stayed at the Whataroa Hotel . We also Built the Fox Glazier Post office just before the Whataroa one. Great time down that way and very good people including the Local Police.

Les Arnold owned it and my Dad Peter Arnold also owned it at a later date

Karen Lawson So familiar. I used to catch a ride on Arnold's Transport to go and stay at the Nesbitts or the Nolans in the 60s. It used to take a while to get there depending on how many freight deliveries they had to do.

Ron Hibbs When our family moved to Whataroa in the mid 50’s Arnold’s garage also supplied electricity to the village, I think it went off about 11.00pm, this was until the power station at The Forks was built in the late 50’s
