Used to look forward to my Mum coming home to Cobden after being in town on a Friday night in the late 1940's and early 50's. No money in those days but we never knew what sort of "goodies" Mum would pull out of her bag. Couple of years later I was the one hanging around Mackay St on a Friday night, lots of fun in those days, no fights, safe streets, etc. What the hell has gone wrong with the place. ????
