CommentsTrevor Keith Scott Hi Corrine, used to date the young lass from the house on the right before you go over the bridge. That was some time ago now!! I don't use the mirror anymore to shave with, as some OLD BUGGER keeps looking back at me?? so I use the electric razor??

I remember as a lad sitting in the back of grandad Joe's little green 100E Prefect at the bridge gates and we got re ended by a fast approaching Holden. Poor old Nana never got over that. The Prefect got repaired and did many a mile between Kaiata and Greymouth every Friday for the vege / beer swap at Monteiths.

This brings back great memories. The gates closed and the man biking across the bridge to open them again.

June Williams When cars had running boards, the gate keeper would get a ride standing on the first car over. No bike required, get a ride back again.

Remember this still happening in mid 80s when we lived in Cameron's, hard to believe I know. The gatekeeper lived in the house next to the bridge on Greymouth side those days.
