Date Created23rd May 2019CommentsPhil Olson Looks like the same boat that was kept in shed at first boat ramp into Hans bay. Remember seeing it or similar boat a couple of times that the owner was working on in the mid 70's. Last I saw it was loaded on a large transporter in Hokitika , destination unknown. All the lakeside sheds had to be removed in the late 70's. Clearly remember those porthole windows along the side . It was a big boat and as seen in pic there's 12 visible people on it without counting those inside it.

Keith Ross I was at Hans Bay in the 70,s and the boat was in shed beside current ramp. I spoke to a man who was hand pumping water into the bilge. He said it hadn't been in the water for some time and he was trying to get the leaks to take up. Presume this was to get
the corking between planking to swell. I was amazed at this boat back then. A large and elegant lake cruiser. Remember those big round brass portholes.
