Kathryn Neame: Wendy Dense yes Dad worked there, He did his apprenticeship there. I didn’t realise Mannix worked there also.
Wendy Dense: Kathryn Neame yep Dad did his panel beating apprenticeship before going to Ferguson’s Earthmoving.
Sharon Stanton: Remember walking through that work shop hundreds of times when I worked at Schaefs. Great place to work wasn't it Sue Vaughan and Gary Reid.
John Hunt: Our late father would have worked there at that time I am sure. Bill Hunt.
James Codyre: My father Jim Codyre was a mechanic there in the early 50's.
Don Pearson: Remember Schaefs garage,when I was growing up,local icon,has it now closed.?
Paul Soster: been closed for years,getting demolished.
Bazza Morland: I can see my old 'work bay' there Paul Agnes Smith Ernie Baldock was in the Lube division before he retired.
Arthur Johnson: We lived next door the Schaefs in the 1930s in Terapui street Guido.Hilda. Len and Neva.We became friends.I would have been 8 or 9 at the time.
Graham Bone: Remember it well, with Ron Melrose and Ron West in the parts, Alan Christianson, Bruce Smith, Basil Eder etc. etc

Gary Reid Sharon Stanton sure was Sharon Friday parties in the corner tea room. I remember lifting the corner of one of the car sales guys pie and squirting dish washing fluid in , that didn't end well.
Sharon Stanton Wouldn't have been Les Guenoles pie by any chance or was it Finns.
Gary Reid Sharon Stanton no I can see his face in my mind can't remember name , fair hair pot guys and was always going to chch to bring a car, he had a girlfriend there, always had grey suit on

Gary Reid Sharon Stanton I remember another directly behind that car was the toilet and hand basin Smacker and Denis were at their benches to the left I was giving smacker a mouthful of cheek smacker picked up his socket set and threw it at me as I ducked into the toilet it missed me and smashed the toilet bowl
