Arriving with the last shipment of logs from the Solomon Islands, 10.20am 7th May 1978, her departure on the 9th May 1978, for Onehunga ended the log trade from the Solomons and New Hebrides, which had started with the arrival of the GAMMA back in September 1971. The LA BONITA had made an earlier visit to Greymouth from the New Hebrides arriving at 9.0am on the 1st of November 1975, and departing at 11.0am 4th of November 1975 for Onehunga. She had gone through a long list of names in her career, built in 1965, as the AL NADIR, LA BONITA, EVITA 11, CROWN PRINCE, TAFFRADE, NADER 10, AL NADIR, NADIR, and finally being scrapped at Alang as the FARBOD 1 in 2003 While trading between the Pacific Islands and NZ, mainly Auckland, she was under charter to Reef Shipping of Auckland who also operated the FIJIAN SWIFT.
