The signal into blackball did come off the back of the translater aerial which was situated on Kellys range near Otira. I lived in blackball at the time and as I worked in the TV sales and repair industry I had intimate knowledge of the situation. The high power transmitter on Mt Murchison wasn't even built at that stage.I have also been to this site several times.
