Date Created29th June 2019CommentsElizabeth Mehrtens I am going to go back there soon, so many memories from this station the hub of my childhood , off to Westport to see my] Nana and Gargie, off to Greymouth shopping with my sisters . and of to Greymouth to stay with my sister and brother In Law for school holidays,those were the days when cars where a luxury that not many people had.

Myron Caldwell Elizabeth Mehrtens. I met a lady working on a railway unit from Wellington who mentioned going to Greymouth to see the barber. She always thought her mother was funny saying that when there were two barbers in Reefton. She soon found out what her mother was talking about. The wind down the valley into Greymouth. She was one of the many Winns, who lived in a railways house near the station.
