Shona Ratana
Shona Ratana We had a coal range which provided heating and cooking and our Mum made scones, pancakes on the top plate using a girdle most weekends as with many lunches needed for Dads crib and school lunches, baking was necessary as we could not buy bread over the weekend. (And then freezers came along. such joy? I have a girdle today and its useful for making pancakes on a BBQ.
