Sue Seymour: The hills in the back ground don’t look right for the big Grey Bridge bear Waipuna. Those hills are flat terraces. AL McInroe built the new state highway bridge at that site in the late 50s/early 60s.

Maxine Fortune As a boy I watched the building of both the Little Grey and the Big Grey bridges Maxine, and was at the opening of them both. Most of the men in the photo were known to our family.
