Alison Hale What an awesome image it's so wonderful being able to see them. Thank you.
Joan Gollan Our Grandfather. Lived at Corbyvale. Moved after earthquake to Greymouth.
Jessie Guy Holy mackerel, that would have been some journey. Still remember my first trip over those Bluffs by car
Doris Blanchard Would Bill Mosley have been related to Alec Mosley and his daughters Olwyn and Beverley who lived in Greymouth?
Joan Gollan Doris Blanchard yes brothers
Doris Blanchard Alec and Ada Mosley were good family friends of ours. I remember Alec being a lovely, gentle and kind man. Beverley was a good friend of mine.
Michael James Reedy There's a well know story about a family who once live at corbyvale who carried a piano over the destroyed karamea bluff road after the earthquake, was it the Mosley's
Joan Gollan Michael James Reedy they did have a piano. But our Mother said it was 12 months before they got their household things out. So maybe not.
Mary Kirkwood I remember my 1st trip over the Bluff, Gravel road and passing bays, I also learn,t to drive on that road.
Marilyn Rea-Menzies My Dad, Allan Rea, bought a horse (I think it was Dolly, a horse I can remember when we were living on the farm on Kew Road) in Karamea and he rode her all the way to Westport.
Mary Kirkwood The horse Dolly, didn,t end up out Carters did it, as I can remember a horse called Dolly dying and is buried under the monkey puzzle tree at the farm.
Margaret Stewart What a beaut photo! So pleased it's not like that now, have been over it several times especially in my tramping days...once upon a time!
Ginny Corry I learned to drive on the Karamea Bluff and we used to walk the cows over for wintering at Stevens valley. DOT Mulholland, the dog and half a dozen kids. Keas at the top to call too. What memories.
Mary Kirkwood Ginny Corry I recall your family doing that, yes I learn,t to drive mainly at night while the men shot possums, certainly learn,t quickly how to take off on a gravel road going up hill, interesting happenings at times.
Ginny Corry It was a cool place to grow up in Mary. Dad was pretty much a jack of all trades and I remember your day at the farm alot. I hope to get over there in August sometime and spend time with Mum and catch up on the family. Where are you living now.
Rachel Mosley Is this any relation to Raymond & Jack Mosley?
Joan Gollan Rachel Mosley their Uncle. The eldest of a big family. Our Grandfather.
Carla Evans Rachel Mosley mum that's cool....Bob's relation
Sadie Malone That's a way Kool photo ....What a trip that would have been

Marilyn Rea-Menzies I don't know what happened to Dolly, Mary, but maybe that is where she went. I was only about 5 or 6 at the time.
Mary Kirkwood Dad and Jack used her for getting stumps out, I was about 8 when she died.
Marilyn Rea-Menzies It makes sense that she went to your family - possibly when we shifted to the Nine Mile farm.

Wonderful shot….the telephone line must’ve been a godsend to Karamea.
There’s still a few 100m of the copper wire strung across a gully at the top of the Bluff if anyone wants to collect it.
Neil Mosley

Geoff Annals
Pete Lusk hard to tell in this wonderful shot. Probably a gig. If it has a box under the seat it could be a trap or a dog cart; I’m not sure what the difference is between those two.
