DescriptionThis abandoned dragshovel is a relic of C20th gold miners who operated on the "big flat" at Maud Creek. This is part of the Howard goldfield in the Upper Buller.

Glenn Johnston Yes Cedric Trounson noted!. There is another bucket in the vicinity used as a memorial and I've got a bit closer view of the bucket on the abandoned machine which looks like it can be used in clam shell fashion? Here they are;
