Mary Fittock YES . Beryl and Des O'Regan's, also Beryl ran a Post Office from there ..

Myron Caldwell Mary, I think that is the first time I had heard of Mrs O'Regans name. Beryl. Went to school with all the kids on the bus to town. Ran into Agnes at a party when we moved to ChCh. As she was introduced to everyone, she saw me and said "I remember you, you were the bus prefect. I asked where she got on the bus and she said the Landing I sang two short songs. Her mother had a lovely voice but only ever sang two songs at our concerts at the Junction. Agnes said, "yes that was my mother" I still see Lester in Nelson and I believe his twin Charlie lives up this way somewhere.

Mary Fittock I remembered her lovely singing voice ,especially at church !!!

I never like disagreeing Andy, but my mum, Beryl O'Regan was still postmistress when it closed. I think in 1971 as I remember (And still have) a perfectly franked stamp from the last post bag delivery. Inangahua Landing Post Office.
