Bruce Knight I spent many an hour at Hay’s Corner in the 60’s. I would normally catch the railcar from the Karoro station into Greymouth, it arrived around 6PM. I can’t remember how many times I just made it home on the 9PM Road Services bus before having to run to the toilet... those were the days. There is no place on Earth like The Coast, no matter how long I’ve been gone. Great people and lots of natural beauty.

Susan Barlow Mary Findlay It truly was! A TV series could have been made about Camerons ... a bit like Coronation St.... Bill Maher as Ken Barlow. Such colourful characters and we knew them all. Ours was the last generation to really experience those slower times, I think. I am glad that I did. :)

Bruce Knight I spent many an hour at Hay’s Corner in the 60’s. I would normally catch the railcar from the Karoro station into Greymouth, it arrived around 6PM. I can’t remember how many times I just made it home on the 9PM Road Services bus before having to run to the toilet... those were the days. There is no place on Earth like The Coast, no matter how long I’ve been gone. Great people and lots of natural beauty.

Susan Barlow Mary Findlay It truly was! A TV series could have been made about Camerons ... a bit like Coronation St.... Bill Maher as Ken Barlow. Such colourful characters and we knew them all. Ours was the last generation to really experience those slower times, I think. I am glad that I did. :)
