George Gardner: Sorry, didn't look at the top of the pic.

Geoffrey King: Has to be before the Court House uiness st was built as it is not in the picture and after 1910.

Don Hutton: It looks to be pre WWII as the Town Hall (burnt down
1947), Holy Trinity Church (burnt down 1956) and Post Office clock tower (demolished 1940s?) are in the photo. The old Ford Garage on the corner of Guiness St had not been built at the time. So 1930s or 1920s perhaps?

Don Hutton: Maye Dunn Alison found a record which says the Post Office was built in 1903.

Don Hutton: It looks as though the photo may have been taken from the tower of the old Methodist Church which had spiky bits at each corner.
