Loved Rimu timber so much we used alot of it in our house build 1979 in NSW. It totally suited the very high angled ceilings and 5 metre walls..and in the bathrooms as well .. .I cried when I found out the new owner painted all the timber white and gyprocked over the sandstock bricks which were typical of the era...this was all on the advice of an interior decorator....
