Lyn Moe: Knocky Kennedy snr on the end of the back row.

Maye Dunn: Lyn Moe Moe is he one of the official.

Lyn Moe: I think he might of been manager, Maye, long time ago and noel was in St Johns so he might of been the massage man. Knockys wife Mabel was President at the time.

Maye Dunn: Foxy Fagan ended up being my neighbour in the late 70's early 80's in Little River on Banks Peninsula.

Bill Johnsen: never knew that ..3 games and had 2 points scored against...not many for either mind you....Wingham Park ground may have had a say in points scored..

John Coffey: Thacker Shield was between the champion clubs of Canterbury and West Coast. Greymouth Marist won it from Hornby and defended it between 1965 and 1967. Runanga then had three home defences, beating Linwood 5-0 in 1968, drawing 0-0 with Hornby in 1969 and beating Linwood 11-2 in 1970. Remarkably low scoring, plenty of nerves among the fans.
