had a lifetime of association with Omoto.. riding work for Slim Gillman..a few race rides ..then 18 years as assistant starter ..then 38 years as raceday starter.

From the school we could hear and see all the races but that bit of education was no good for me, They still run last in the last race. Just behind the grandstand is the duck reserve, when duck shooting season was due the water was covered with ducks
