Date Created31st October 2019CommentsJohn Coffey: Spencer played in two of the Kiwis' three 1968 World Cup games, scoring a try on debut against Australia.Though a West Coaster, he was picked for Kiwis from the Papanui club and played for Canterbury 22 times from 1967 to 1971.Injury forced his withdrawal from NZ under-23 tour of NSW in 1969. A top player at centre or wing.
