Wayne Nicholson: Wow. Just talking about Bill on saturday at the Kaiata hall bazaar.Spent many an hour talking to (annoying maybe) Bill. Also found the old station building on its new location in Kaiata.

Brian Borgfeldt: Lived at the golf course 51 to57. Went to school wit Des and Ailsa Skates whose father was the stationmaster then.

Doug Watson: Bill was a keen photographer used to take his camera everywhere he went.he had a good plum tree that we used to strip when he wasnt home.He lived alone there the station master was Tom Phalert who was the best golfer that the coast had ever produced+

Paul Dumelow . I loved all my days spent there. Grandads garden was renowned. Friday's, and the wee 100E Prefect would race into town dropping off vege to mine widows and the last stop was always the brewery to exchange vegetables for floor sweeping of barley for the chooks and a flagon or two.

Spent many a day hanging around there as young fella. Bill was a really nice man and i often had to deliver hot scones straight out of Nana's coal range to him, also fresh veges from granddads garden. The station and shunt yard was our playground as was the swimming holes beneath the road bridge and the railway bridge. Many a penny or halfpence got squashed on the tracks - steam trains were the best. Ah, for the days of youth in the 50's/60's.

Wayne Nicholson We lived just up the track a bit next to Mr and Mrs Cameron directly across from Jim Walsh. If I recall correctly there were two huts there the other occupied by Bert Soutter. Bill Bainbridge was a great fan of English county cricket and would tell us about all the good players and had large albums of cigarette cards of these players. I remember your Grandad Joe and your Grandma and their daughter who I think was Nora

Colin Skates . Correct Colin. I remember the Cameron house but a long time ago now. My working life took me all over the country but finally settled into Dunollie.

I didn't move far just into town. Don't know what happened to the Cameron house but our one was relocated up to the main road to Dobson over the bridge on the left. It was rough casted after shifting and still there today painted yellow
