Maye Dunn Yes some of it they were.

Lois Iacoppi i think they stayed at the commercial hotel while I worked there

Paddy Sweeney I worked for Maurice Roberts on the Blue River Bridge at outlet of Lake Moeraki. He had a camp there with plenty of wild stories, where the Wilderness Lodge is now. His brother Leo was the cook.

Gavin Davy Old Mac used to say, the further south you work the more you make and I'm working 10 miles past the end of the road.

Anthea Keenan Maurice had great forethought..he was instrumental in building & also St Mary's village Hokitika. Married to first cousin Eileen Growcott ..:) they were down south when road being built .. Christine Nigel Abbott Rosemary Duncan Mckenzie Pauline, Bernadette Havill family.

Christine Hoets Maurice Roberts was a fantastic builder ,Gentle man ,Eileen was lovely lady ,They had I think - three children two girls and a boy ,can only remember one girls name Christine ,good old days
