Christchurch late one night. Their comment. It will be good when the seal the rest of the road over here. Was a bit scary driving past lake. After a breif chat I worked out that they went through Mitchell's.

Wayne Nicholson I remember sessions there at the Lodge and Jack Meates reminding us that the "lake is on the left and wait till you hit the bottom before opening the doors" on the trip back to Iveagh Bay !

Jim Webber Our little local church stood on that corner, I was christened there in 1952. The school teachers house was across the road on the opposite corner.

Nicola Jane Jim Webber house is still there but acquired by council to realign the road

Noeline McCaughan We often visited and stayed with the Palmer family, on Sundays we went to Sunday School in the little Church. I loved to get the little cards of texts with their coloured picture.

Deborah Marley As far as I know it was demolished..wen I was back there 2006-2010 the door was barred cause it was unsafe...after moving away I drove past one day and it was gone...I used to go to Sunday school there.
