Glenn Johnston I remember Les Champion and did some work on his patch (he was OC of Rotoehu Forest then). Ces and I and Bill Balderstone did bits of salvage logging of native in the Grey valley at one stage. Ces and I also worked logging part of Lawson Cypress & radiata stands in Granville Forest so that the sawing and wood properties could be evaluated prior to the wholesale clearfelling of the Granville exotics. Mainly used a bully but we also used a small hauler.
